A woman in her 50s has been killed in a crash involving a lorry and a car in Co Cork.
The incident occurred on the R568 at Manch East in Ballineen at around 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
The road will remain closed as gardaí carry out a forensic collision examination.
The woman who was driving the car was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is set to take place at Cork University Hospital.
The lorry driver was a man in his 50s, he was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses of the accident and ask that anyone who may have been travelling on the R568 at Manch East, Ballineen, Co Cork between 2.30pm and 3.00pm to contact them, especially those with dash-cam footage.
