Bomb Found In Cork Home

An investigation has been launched by gardaí after an explosive device was found at a house in Bandon, Co Cork.

Gardaí believe that this may have been a targeted incident. The Defence forces evacuated surrounding homes and the explosive ordinance squad removed the device.

A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and there are no injuries reported at this time.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area to contact them. This includes those who was in Bandon Town in West Cork between the hours of 2:50pm and 3:30 pm on Thursday. Anyone with phone recordings or dashcam footage are also asked to come forward.
