Michael and Anne O'Sullivan, the elderly couple found deceased in their home in Glounthaune earlier this week, will be laid to rest together today in Cork city.
The couple, both in their 80s, were discovered on Monday evening at their home in the village. It’s understood they may have died following a fall in the hallway. Michael had worked for the GPO, while Anne had previously worked at Irish Steel.
Tributes have poured in from friends and loved ones over the past few days, remembering them as a devoted and kind-hearted couple.
A Requiem Mass will take place today at 1pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Glounthaune, followed by burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Little Island.
The couple reposed at Barry Bros. Funeral Home in Glanmire yesterday evening.
The family has requested family flowers only.
