A motorcyclist aged in his 50s has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and a van in Co Cork.
The fatal crash happened at approximately 2.30pm on the R587 at Gloun North, near Dunmanway.
Emergency services attended the scene, where the motorcyclist was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
The road was temporarily closed to allow Garda forensic collision investigators to carry out a technical examination but has since reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward as investigations continue.
They are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was travelling on the R587 between 2.15pm and 3pm and may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, that could assist the investigation.
