Residents and commuters near Cork Airport are being advised to plan ahead as road closures come into effect today, due to filming for a new movie starring Brad Pitt.

Production company Zadelle Films confirmed that several roads in the area will be temporarily closed today, as filming continues on the upcoming feature One For All. The L455, between Lios Cross and Pouladuff Road, will be closed from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Traffic disruption is expected throughout the afternoon, with diversions in place to redirect motorists. While residents living in the area will still be able to access their homes, delays are likely. The production company acknowledged the inconvenience and said it is relying on the “patience and goodwill of locals” while filming takes place.

There has been speculation about whether Pitt himself will appear on set during the Cork shoot, though this has not been confirmed. The Hollywood actor was spotted in Dublin earlier this year ahead of production, before filming moved to other locations across Europe.

The film is directed by Edward Berger and is based on Tim Winton’s acclaimed 1994 novel The Riders. The project is a major international production, bringing together well-known names from both the literary and film worlds.

Ireland plays a central role in the story, with filming already taking place at multiple locations across the country. The rural Irish setting is key to the narrative, which follows Fred Scully, played by Pitt, a man who relocates to the countryside after years of travelling through Europe.

As Scully begins restoring an old farmhouse, his partner Jennifer returns to Australia with their daughter to settle unfinished matters. However, when he later travels to reunite with them at the airport, he discovers they have vanished without explanation, setting off a desperate and emotional search.

Filming in Cork is expected to continue as part of the wider Irish schedule, with further disruptions possible as production progresses. Motorists travelling near the airport this afternoon are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and follow posted diversion routes.
