Two people have been left with injuries following reports of a shooting in Cork City.
This incident reportedly took place near Ballyvolane Road, where Gardaí responded to "reports of a discharge of a firearm this afternoon".
Later, a Garda spokesperson said that "two males are receiving treatment for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening at this time", while adding that there is "no further information available at this time".
In a separate incident, Gardaí also responded to reports of a public order incident, where a group of individuals had gathered near Ballyvolane Road around 3.30pm yesterday. Those involved were then dispersed from the scene by Gardaí.
They have confirmed that both investigations remain ongoing. (All quotes according to RTÉ).
