Rail passengers have been warned of delays of up to 90 minutes following a major signalling fault which disrupted DART and train services across Dublin.

The signalling power supply issue affected all services between Lansdowne and Donabate.

Routes impacted included the DART, Belfast services, Northern Commuter, Sligo, Rosslare, Maynooth and M3 Parkway/Hazelhatch services.

Iarnród Éireann has confirmed that its technical team has now fixed the fault and services have resumed.

Barry Kenny, Head of Corporate Communications at Iarnród Éireann, confirmed that all services were back running shortly before 1.10pm.

However, passengers are still being warned to expect delays while the network gets back to normal.

It is expected that services will gradually return to normal over the early afternoon.

Passengers travelling on the affected routes are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
