Dublin Airport Expecting Its Busiest Day Over Festive Period

Dublin Airport is expecting today to be the busiest day for travel in the run up to Christmas.

It has been reported that almost 102,000 passengers are to depart and arrive at the airport today, with around 1.5 million people predicted to travel through the airport over the festive period (between 18 December - 6 January). 

The airport's operator daa have also confirmed that operations will finish on Christmas Eve after the last flight at 11pm, clearing all air traffic control space for any visitors from the North Pole.

Flights will resume at 5.55am on St Stephen's Day.
