Former Republic of Ireland international soccer star Kevin Moran was spotted at a popular local pub in Galway earlier this week.
Moran, a former Man United and Dublin GAA player had been visiting Connemara, where he walked into Lowry's Bar in Clifden to chat with locals, and revel in the pub's delightful atmosphere. On the night, Moran posed with staff, including the owner, Damien Ryan.
Taking to social media, the bar shared this message.
“We had the honour of welcoming Kevin Moran – former Ireland international and former Manchester United football legend – to Lowrys Bar last night!”, they said. “From the pitch to the pub, Kevin still knows how to light up a room. Thanks for stopping by Kevin — you made our night!”. See this post in full here.
Following a career, which saw him make 71 appearances for the Republic of Ireland between 1980 and 1994 and win two FA Cups with Manchester United, Moran was inducted into the FAI Hall of Fame and was also the subject of a biographical documentary, Codebreaker, which aired on RTÉ in 2023.
