It was stiff competition as always at the Limerick Races as fashion-forward attendees vied to be crowned the best-dressed racegoer on Ladies Day.
Celia Holman Lee and Miss Universe Ireland, Sofia Labus, were tasked with the tough job of picking out winners from the crowd to be named the Most Stylish lady and couple at the event.
Galway woman Mary Davin scooped up the top prize on the day and proved that black is truly back in an elegant satin gown and a canvas-style black and white hat. The fashionista secured the look from new dress rental business, Labelle.
'Aww, beautiful Mary, huge congrats. You look fabulous,' a third person wrote, while another said, 'Congratulations, Mary. Fabulous outfit.' There you have it, nothing beats a classic black dress, it seems!
Celia revealed that they switched things up at the races this year, opting to entertain the stylish racegoers as they awaited the verdict on the day.
'We decided to host a millinery fashion show to entertain everyone,' Celia told EVOKE. 'Which is a good thing because the heavens opened and it poured rain all day.'
The show was held in a 'gorgeous room' overlooking the race couse
