Last weekend, Coldplay made history by becoming the first music act to play live at Stanford Stadium.
The stadium which is better known for hosting college football matches, opened its doors to live music for the first time, as Coldplay launched their 2025 North American leg of their record breaking tour, Music Of The Spheres.
For their first of two live shows which took place last Saturday (May 31), Coldplay performed tracks 'Moon Music', “Yellow”, “Viva La Vida”, “Paradise”, “Fix You”, “The Scientist”, “A Sky Full Of Stars” and many more.
These North American dates see Coldplay supported by Willow and Elyanna, both of which received rapturous rounds of applause from the audience at Stanford Stadium, on a night which also included Coldplay's traditional visuals, LED wristbands, confetti bursts, lasers, and fireworks lighting up the venue in spectacular fashion.
So far this tour has sold more than 12 million tickets worldwide, the most for a single tour, which also finishes in London's Wembley Stadium on September 8.
Back in November, during a show from this tour in Sydney, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin paused a concert, after spotting a young fan being crushed in the crowd in Sydney.
