Florence Welch, the powerhouse behind Florence + The Machine, has announced two highly anticipated Irish shows as part of the Everybody Scream tour next summer. Florence + The Machine will take the stage at Thomond Park in Limerick on 27 June and Marlay Park in Dublin on 28 June, marking the band’s much-awaited return to Ireland.
The Irish dates form part of a wider UK and European tour celebrating the release of Florence + The Machine’s upcoming sixth studio album, Everybody Scream, set for release on October 31. The extensive run will see Florence + The Machine perform across major venues including two nights at London’s O2 Arena, the Accor Arena in Paris, and Tauron Arena in Krakow, before closing with a headline appearance at the Edinburgh Summer Sessions.
Tickets for the Irish shows are priced from €69.90 to €85.90 and go on sale on Friday, 31 October, at 9am. All tickets are subject to a 12.5% Ticketmaster service charge per ticket (capped at €10.50). Both Irish events are subject to licence.
Support in Limerick and Dublin will come from Rachel Chinouriri, while Paris Paloma joins Florence + The Machine for the remaining European tour dates.
The announcement follows the release of the new Florence + The Machine single, “Sympathy Magic”, unveiled alongside a visually arresting video directed by long-time collaborator Autumn De Wilde. Co-written and produced with Danny L. Harle and Aaron Dessner, the track serves as the final preview ahead of the release of Everybody Scream this Friday. It follows earlier singles “Everybody Scream” and “One of the Greats”, both praised by critics for their cinematic production and emotional depth.
Written and produced over two years, Everybody Scream sees Florence + The Machine collaborate with Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner, and Mitski. The album reflects a period of introspection for Florence Welch, who underwent a life-saving surgery during her Dance Fever tour. She has described the project as an exploration of “the limits of the body, healing, and the mystical process of recovery”, steeped in spirituality, mysticism, and folk horror.
Across five acclaimed records — Lungs (2009), Ceremonials (2011), How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015), High As Hope (2018), and Dance Fever (2022) — Florence + The Machine has established itself as one of the most innovative and influential acts of the past two decades.
The band’s music has earned multiple UK and US No.1 albums, numerous awards, and a global reputation for unforgettable live performances. Florence + The Machine concerts are renowned for their theatrical energy and emotional power, qualities that have led Welch to collaborate with major artists including The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift.
In addition to her music, Florence Welch has published Useless Magic, a collection of lyrics, poetry, and illustrations that offer insight into the creative world of Florence + The Machine.
