Kelly Clarkson's ex husband, Brandon Blackstock has died aged 48.
Blackstock who was married to the singer from 2013 to 2022, passed away following a battle with cancer. A representative for the family said that he passed away "peacefully".
"It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away," they said. "Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years. He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time".
Clarkson who shared two children with Blackstock, has previously revealed that he had been "ill" recently.
"Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," she wrote. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill, and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows, and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding".
The former couple, whose divorce was finalised in 2022, shared two children together, 11 year old daughter River, and nine year old son, Remington. Talent manager Blackstock was also previously married to Melissa Ashworth from 2001 to 2012. They shared 23 year old daughter Savannah, and 18 year old son Seth.
