Miley Cyrus has said that she is "honoured" to be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
The Wrecking Ball singer was named among the list of celebrities to be honoured with a star as part of the Class of 2026. Other names include Demi Moore, Emily Blunt, Timothée Chalamet, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Stanley Tucci, Molly Ringwald, Gordon Ramsey, Sarah Michelle Geller, Josh Groban, and Shaquille O'Neal.
Reacting to her exciting news, Miley Cyrus shared her delight on Instagram, including a clip of the music video for her new single, 'Walk of Fame', featuring Brittany Howard.
"Honored to be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame," she wrote on social media. "When I first came to LA from Nashville as a little girl, my family would stay at a hotel on Hollywood Blvd, and I would go on late-night walks with my dad (Billy Ray Cyrus) when no one would recognize him. We'd have the gift shops to ourselves & buy knock-off Oscars and Marilyn Monroe merchandise".
On the upcoming ceremony, Miley Cyrus also had this to say.
"To now be cemented on this legendary boulevard, surrounded by the icons who inspired me, feels like a dream. This moment will live forever, thank you to everyone in my life who made it possible. I am grateful to share this star with you", she said.
The singer did not share the exact date when she will receive the star.
Last month, Miley Cyrus expressed her regret over her publicised feud with Irish singer Sineád O'Connor in 2013. More on this here.
