Natalie Imbruglia's hit, Torn, finally reached top spot in the UK Charts, almost three decades after it was first released.
The 1997 track, which missed out on the milestone to Aqua's Barbie Girl, has been named No 1 by Greatest Hits Radio from PPL. It reached No 1 in the Top 30 Countdown of the Most Played Songs of the 21st Century from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
This chart saw Torn finish ahead of the Police's Every Step You Take, and Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
Reacting to this news, Natalie Imbruglia said: "I can't believe 'Torn' has landed the number 1 spot on the Greatest Hits Radio Top 30 rundown! Wow! …. Phil Thornalley congrats to you my friend and luckily I still love singing it!! Thanks to all the listeners and see you at the summer shows!".
