Bookmakers, William Hill have released a statement suggesting that Dean has been named the favourite to sing the next James Bond theme.
Dean has achieved a great deal of success since her breakthrough album 'The Art of Loving' was released in 2025. This album claimed four awards at the Brits for Album of the Year, Song of the Year for her Sam Fender collaboration ‘Rein Me In‘, Artist of the Year and Best Pop Act.
The next Bond film is currently being developed by director Denis Villeneuve and script writrer Steven Knight. This will mark the first film of the franchise since Amazon took over creative control just last year.
Many musicians have been thrown into the mix to be considered to record the next Bond theme. Noel Gallagher responded at the start of this year to rumours that Oasis will be recording the next theme. He stated that it would "be an absolute honour, and I think those kind of things should be done by Brits not Yanks.” Noel confirmed that there had been no contact between the James Bond franchise and Oasis.
Charli XCX's name was also brought into the conversation, however, during an appearance on The Julia Cunningham Show, she said: “I got to say, I don’t think that I am built for that. I think I probably sing with too much AutoTune to do a James Bond.” "Never say never, I’m open to it if they want to call me, which they won’t but, yeah. I think it might not be a fit, but that’s, well, yeah. It’s not going to happen now, is it? So amazing. I don’t know," she continued.
In other news, Dean was recently announced as the ambassador for Record Store Day 2026, she said: “It’s so important we continue to support them and keep them alive”.
