Rod Stewart has said that he wishes his 'Legends Slot' at Glastonbury 2025 was not labelled as the "tea time" performance.
The singer is to take to the stage at the Legends slot, which will take place on Sunday afternoon on the Pyramid Stage. Stewart had previously headlined the Worthy Farm event alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics back in 2002.
However, just days before his scheduled performance at the event, Stewart has admitted that he is not happy with the label the event has been given.
“I just wish they wouldn’t call it the tea time slot,” the singer said. “That sounds like pipe and slippers, doesn’t it?”.
Rod Stewart also revealed that he managed to persuade Glastonbury organisers to extend his live set from the usual 75 minutes to and hour and a half.
He said, “Usually I do well over two hours so there’s still a load of songs we won’t be able to do. But we’ve been working at it. I’m not gonna make any announcements between songs".
“I’ll do one number, shout ‘next’, and go straight into the next one. I’m going to get in as many songs as I can".
