To celebrate 40 years, The Saw Doctors have announced a major outdoor concert.
The Saw Doctors will return to Virgin Media Park Cork on the 3rd of July 2027.

When The Saw Doctors take the stage in Cork next July, they’ll be marking 40 years since their journey began in McEvoy’s Jersey Bar in Tuam, Co. Galway.
Since those early days, the band has grown from playing packed, high-energy ballrooms like Galway’s Warwick Hotel to filling iconic international venues, including London’s Royal Albert Hall and Central Park’s Summerstage in New York.
Anchored by core songwriting duo Davy Carton (lead vocals) and Leo Moran (electric guitar), The Saw Doctors recently welcomed back founding member Pearse Doherty on bass, vocals, penny whistle, and wooden flute.
The eight-piece lineup includes longtime members Rickie O’Neill (drums), Kieran Duddy (keyboards and accordion), and Tommy Carton (backing vocals), alongside acclaimed musicians Anthony Thistlethwaite (saxophone, ex-The Waterboys) and Noelie McDonnell (guitar and backing vocals, The Whileaways).
Reflecting on the band's forty year career, Moran said: “Born into a repressed, catholic, conservative, small-town, agrarian, angst-ridden & showband infested society, The Saw Doctors are trying to preserve the positive elements of our Irish background and marry them to the sounds which have culturally invaded our milieu through TV, radio, social media, 45’s, fast food restaurants, 24-hour petrol stations & electric blankets”.
