Last weekend, around 80,000 music fans descended on Stradbally, Co Laois, enjoying a mix of international stars, homegrown talent, and everything in between. The weather did what Irish weather does best — swinging from bright sunshine to heavy showers — yet the energy never faltered.
From Chappell Roan to Kneecap, the lineup delivered memorable performances that had everyone talking. And even though next year’s headliners remain a secret, fans didn’t want to risk missing out.
Tickets went on sale at 9am on Wednesday, and by 10.40am, organisers confirmed a total sell-out. Sharing their excitement online, they wrote: “WOW! Electric Picnic 2026 is officially sold out! If you secured your spot, we’ll see you in Stradbally next year!”
The response on social media has been a mix of jubilation and disappointment. Happy festival-goers celebrated snagging their tickets, while some longtime attendees expressed their frustration. One devoted fan said: “First time I didn’t get a ticket, after managing to get through the queue a few times since 2012,” while another commented: “Thrilled for the first-timers, but wish I could be there with them.”
The buzz is already growing, and the countdown to Stradbally 2026 has officially begun.
