FREENOW Reveals Ireland’s Longest Taxi Journeys & Highest Rated Drivers

FREENOW drivers have undertaken plenty of lonh journeys to ensure passengers get to where they need to go, including one driver taking a passenger all the way from Dublin to Dristernan in northern Donegal.

The longest journey was over 300 km, with passengers travelling across the country from Killarney all the way to Dublin.

Data published by the leading taxi app has revealed insights into Ireland’s passengers' habits, including the longest journey and the biggest tippers.

Drivers in Ireland having an average rating of 4.86/5. Drivers in Sligo received the highest ratings from passengers, closely followed by drivers in Kilkenny, Waterford and Kildare.

The dedication of driver partners to providing prompt and reliable service means the average wait time for a FREENOW taxi is just 10 seconds for ride acceptance and 3.4 minutes for driver arrival.

Dubliners and Kildare locals are tied as Ireland’s top taxi tippers.

They were followed by passengers in Meath, Cork, Louth and Kerry as the top 5 counties for taxi tips.

However, the biggest one-off tips came from Galway and Kerry, with generous passengers in both counties leaving a €100 tip.

Overall, Irish passengers are some of the best tippers in Europe, ranking third behind the UK and Germany.
