Radio presenter Trina Mara recently spent a day inside Barnardos in Dublin, where she met project workers, parents and children whose lives are touched by the charity every day.
It was, in her own words, “an eye-opening experience.” From seeing the incredible work that takes place behind the scenes to chatting with the children themselves, Trina gained a unique insight into the impact Barnardos has on families across Ireland.
She spoke with parents who described how Barnardos has supported them through challenging times and with dedicated project workers who shared powerful stories of the difference the charity has made over the years.
The result is a moving, one-off special called “Inside Barnardos: Sharing Little Voices & Big Stories”, which brings listeners closer to the heart of the organisation and the people it supports.
