Met Éireann Predicts Mixed Weather For Week Ahead

Mixed conditions with spells of rain have been predicted for the week ahead, according to Met Éireann.

A cloudy start to the week with patches of light rain and drizzle was predicted, especially in the west and north of the country, while remaining drier in the south and east. Temperatures are set to stay between 14 and 20 degrees, with the northwest set for the coolest conditions, with the south and east is set to have the mildest weather.

For for this evening, similar conditions have also been forecasted, with the south and east of the country set to avoid the outbreaks of rain and drizzle.


Patchy rain and drizzle are predicted for Tuesday, with showers developing in the north and west, according to reports in the Irish Independent.

Highest temperatures are to range between 11 and 14 degrees, but is to become slightly milder further south, with highest temperatures to hit between 14 and 18 degrees.

Tuesday night will see any lingering rain clearing, leaving a mostly dry night with clear spells for many. A few showers are expected for the west and north. It is to be colder than previous nights, ranging between 3 and 7 degrees, especially in the west and north.

Temperatures are to remain between 11 and 14 degrees, with a moderate to fresh northwesterly breeze.

Looking ahead to Wednesday night, there are to be long clear spells, with some isolated showers in the west and north.

As for Thursday morning, the national forecaster has said it is to be dry with sunny spells, with cloud spreading nationwide from the west, with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle also predicted.
