It's been a blockbuster year for the bia blásta of the Emerald Isle; another two Irish restaurants have been added to the Michelin Guide.
One such eatery is Comet on Dublin's Joshua Street, which has been described as 'something of a hidden gem'. Run by chef Kevin O'Donnell and his wife, Laura Chabal, the establishment opened its doors in June.
The Michelin Guide says Comet 'has a simple, intimate appeal' with 'a good buzz in the room'.
'They craft a concise menu of produce-led dishes designed for sharing, such as a tempura-like langoustine scampi with their take on a sauce gribiche,' they continued. 'While pared-back in style, the cooking never lacks in flavour and there’s a welcome generosity to the portions and pricing too.'
It comes after Amai by Viktor in Dublin city centre and The Pullman, in the Glenlo Abbey Estate in Galway, were added to the Michelin Guide in October.
