Survey Shows How Long A Voice Note Should Be

By Dalton MacNamee

Est. Reading: 1 minute

The research for this survey was conducted by Paul Connell from Pure Telecom.

According to this survey, 45% of people say they like to receive these voice notes, with 23% saying they do not, while a quarter of people of people send a voice not at least once a day.

These voice notes are especially popular with people under the age of 55 and women, with the survey indicating that they have more patience with them than men.

Speaking on their findings, Mr Connell revealed that most people are not keen on long rambling voice notes.

"Certainly, there's a resentment of getting one longer than a minute, and if you go up to three minutes, it's nearly the whole population say, no, it's too long. Particularly, my daughter is sending a voicemail or voice note. It does sound like a radio broadcast", he said. "If you look at the results of the survey, they say, once I put down the phone, I can't even remember what the guy or girl said during the voicemail".

Paul Connell also revealed that he asked his daughter why she likes to send these voice notes.

"And she said to me, well, it conveys the tone better and it's far more efficient", he explained.

Basically, voice notes should not last anymore than 60 seconds.
