Adele is to make her acting debut in a film which will be directed by Tom Ford.
The film, Cry To Heaven, will see the singer star in an adaption of the 1982 Anne Rice novel of the same name, which will follow: "a Venetian noble and a maestro castrato, with both attempting to succeed in the opera world" in the 18th century.
Directed by Tom Ford, who has also written the script, is currently in pre-production in London and Rome.
Adele is to star as part of a cast featuring, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, Paul Bettany, Thandiwe Newton, Hunter Schafer, Owen Cooper, and Irish actors Ciarán Hinds and Daryl McCormack.
Filming for Cry To Heaven will begin in mid January for a release in the Autumn next year, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
