Presenters Maya Jama and Clara Amfo confirmed the nominations for 13 categories during an hour long special titled The Brits Are Coming on ITV.
The pair confirmed eighteen female artists or all women groups have been nominated. This compares with 22 nominated from 2010. While eighteen female acts were also nominated in 2000 and 2001.
The likes of Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo are nominated alongside the like Taylor Swift and Adele.

Other nominees include Coldplay, Joy Crookes, KSI and Little Mix, while Elton John's collaboration with Dua Lipa "Cold Heart" sees the Rocketman singer earn his first Brit Award nomination for the first time in 20 years.
