The line up of guests has been confirmed for the first episode of Claudia Winkleman's new TV show.

The series, The Claudia Winkleman Show, will make its debut on BBC One on Friday, 13 March, promising to "welcome the biggest names from the worlds of film, television, music, and beyond".

Announcing the guest line up, the BBC said: "The guests joining Claudia for her first show are: Hollywood giant Jeff Goldblum, best known for his roles in Jurassic Park and Wicked, talking about Night Blooms, the latest album from his band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra; actress Vanessa Williams, reflecting on her turn in the West End smash hit The Devil Wears Prada; national treasure Jennifer Saunders, discussing her new film The Magic Faraway Tree; and comedian Josh Widdicombe, introducing his new podcast Museum of Pop Culture".

Speaking ahead of this new series, Winkleman said: "I can't quite believe it and I'm incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity".

She added: "I'm obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I'm over the moon they're letting me try".

In more recent times, Claudia Winkleman has been seen hosting The Traitors UK, with reports suggesting that the presenter's wardrobe has cost an arm and a leg.

Such reports have said that after just three episodes into the fourth series of the show, the clothes worn by the presenter amounted to £16,446 (€18,900). More on this story here.

Curating Winkleman's expensive wardrobe has even been compared to "prepping for a catwalk show". Read more on this story here.

This comes after Claudia Winkleman and her Strictly Come Dancing co host Tess Daly had announced that they were stepping down from the show.

Winkleman had hosted the show since 2014, with Daly having first presented 22 years ago.

"We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show", they said in a joint statement. "They're the most brilliant team, and we’ll miss them every day".

"We will cry when we say the last "keep dancing", but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza".
