We can all collectively agree that Bridgerton has had us in a chokehold since it first premiered on Netflix in 2020.

Thus far, we've been treated to four instalments of the main series, which follow the romances of Daphne, Anthony, Colin, and Benedict.

There are four more seasons still to come, documenting the relationships of Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth.

In season four, fans got a taste of Violet's story as it explored her relationship with Lord Marcus Anderson, played by Daniel Francis.

Violet's relationship with Lord Anderson, who is the brother of her good friend Lady Danbury [Adjoa Andoh], came years after the death of her husband, Edmund Bridgerton.

At the end of season four, Violet decides she isn't ready to marry, and showrunner Jess Brownwell has insisted the time just wasn't right.

Speaking on Bridgerton: The Official Podcast, Jess said that accepting Lord Anderson's proposal 'would be like marrying the first guy right after her husband'.

'I feel like she has more of a journey to go on,' she said. She's got some kids to see through, making sure that they get off on their way and debut before she's ready to really do what she wants to really do. We'll get there.'

While we'd imagine Violet's garden will be in full bloom in the forthcoming seasons, we'd love to journey to the past in a spin-off series.

In Queen Charlotte, Connie Jenkins-Greig took on the role of a young Violet Ledger. She is now 22 years old, so would be the perfect candidate for the role once more if the story of Violet and Edmund were to unfold on the small screen.
