Big Brother is back on ITV — and there’s an Irish contestant ready to shake things up.
Jenny, a 20-year-old makeup artist from Derry, has entered the famous house, promising both laughs and drama as the new series gets underway.
She is among the 15 contestants hoping to make their mark on the latest series of the legendary reality show.
‘I think I’m most likely to be nominated for being too honest,’ she admitted before entering.
‘Because if you ask for my opinion, you’re going to get it.’
Jenny also vowed to bring ‘good craic’ to the house, saying she’ll do her best to keep everyone smiling, though she doesn’t like being told what to do, which could spell clashes ahead.
The new season, the third civilian edition since Big Brother’s 2023 revival, launched on 28 September with 12 contestants.
Four new faces were added on night two via spin-off show Big Brother: Late and Live, bringing the total to 15 housemates — after political events manager Emily Hewertson became the first eviction casualty on opening night.

Our proud Irish representative. Jenny describes herself as a ‘rule breaker’ and insists she doesn’t like being bossed around. She promises honesty, sometimes brutally so, but also wants to bring ‘good craic’ and laughter to the house.
The first to walk into the house this year, Gani describes himself as full of ‘energy’ and a big Dua Lipa fan. Though nervous on entry, he insists he’s friendlier than people think.
An ‘old soul’ who calls himself introverted, Cameron is expecting to stand out as the only ‘country bumpkin-esque’ figure in the house.
Fiery, pansexual, and fluent in five languages, Nancy is loud, energetic, and unafraid to call people out. She predicts she’ll clash with housemates over small habits but hopes to ‘discover herself’ along the way.
A true character: she’s been engaged five times, keeps the rings, and entered in a fur coat and cowboy hat insisting people call her ‘Monkey.’ Expect fireworks from this veteran of the media world.
Openly transgender, Zelah describes himself as both masculine and feminine, with plans to use any prize money to support LGBTQ+ fitness projects. He also wants to whisk his girlfriend away on holiday.
The youngest contestant. Loud, outspoken, and unafraid to speak her mind, Teja admits her honesty might rub people the wrong way but is determined to get ‘stuck in’ to every task.
A Navy veteran who prides himself on his appearance and describes himself as ‘a bit of a flirt.’ Though his parents told him to have a strategy, Marcus says he’ll wing it.
Runs Scotland’s biggest buff butler company but also holds a master’s degree in engineering. Charismatic and cheeky, he says Big Brother is on his bucket list.
Loves pink and claims she’s been able to ‘see dead people’ since age three. She wants to bring ‘sunshine and laughter’ but admits her sensitivity could make her prone to tantrums.
Describes his job as making ‘old people shake their bums for a living.’ Sam is bubbly, flamboyant, and full of surprises — he even squealed with excitement when entering the house.
A longtime Big Brother fan, Feyisola has bounced back from years of illness and says she’s ready to embrace the game. Straight-talking and sharp, she promises not to tolerate ignorance.
A 6ft5 self-described ‘nice working-class lad’ who’s been watching Big Brother with his mum since childhood. He thinks his height helps with the ladies but admits he might be too loud for the house.
The oldest housemate, Richard is a lifelong bachelor with a fondness for dad jokes. He doubts he’ll win against younger contestants but says it would be ‘a coup”’if he did.
Applied to ‘meet people from different walks of life’ but warns he’s not afraid to ‘ruffle feathers.’ He predicts his love of debate will spark tension in the house.
Emily Hewertson, 25, a Conservative political events manager, was evicted on night one after a dramatic ‘Evil Eye’ game forced housemates to vote out one of their own.
