Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson married her long term partner Hector Barbour at a lavish three day Irish ceremony.

The actress married the Scottish DJ at Dromquinna Manor, just outside Kenmare in Co Kerry, in celebrations which kicked off last Friday with a drinks reception and pizzas, followed on by a pre ceremony pyjama themed morning for the bridal party the following day.

In a sweet tribute to her time on Derry Girls, Saoirse-Monica walked down the aisle with her father to the cover of Dreams by The Cranberries. The actress who wore a custom bridal gown from Annie Ibiza, with a mini skirt, and sculptured corset with puffy sleeves, was also joined by co star and bridesmaid Jamie-Lee O'Donnell.

On the big day, Hector Barbour donned a traditional kilt with a Hebridean MacKenzie tartan, made by MacGregor and MacDuff. He also wore a custom-made Montrose double jacket, adorned with his father's sporran and family brooch.

The couple tied the knot in front of 160 guests, with photos from the day taken and shared via this link here.

"We wanted both of our cultures and our families and friends to be at the centre of it", Saoirse-Monica told British Vogue.

Guests from the big day reconvened the next morning from a BBQ breakfast, mimosas, as well as some storytelling before they headed to a local pub.

"We had buses pick everyone up the next morning and take them to a pub down the road, before we headed back and kept partying at the bar!", Saoirse-Monica said. "Everybody said that the whole weekend was like something from a movie, and it really was".

“I want to do it again!", she added.

Other highlights from the event saw Saoirse's father donning a Darth Vader costume, while a cake cutting moment kicked off with a conga line.

Back in February, Saoirse-Monica Jackson landed a role in a Broadway musical, Irishtown. More on this here.
