Ed Sheeran has dismissed rumours of a rift between him and Taylor Swift, revealing that the pair recently had a four-hour conversation.
The two artists have been close friends for years and have collaborated on multiple tracks together, including ‘Everything Has Changed’, ‘End Game’ and ‘Run’.
Speculation about a fallout began earlier this year when Taylor Swift announced her engagement to Travis Kelce, and Ed Sheeran revealed he learned about it from her Instagram post like everyone else.
He shared the update while speaking to Andy Cohen on SiriusXM earlier this year, and when the host seemed surprised that he hadn’t been told directly by the pop star beforehand, he simply replied: “No.”
Speaking to Access Hollywood, he added: “I’m not self-conscious about my relationship with her. We’ve been friends for very, very many years. We’re super close and we see each other when we see each other, and when we see each other, we lock back into where we left off.”
He continued: “My way of viewing it is like, me and Taylor are mates and I will see her… And I saw her a week after that happened, so I did that interview and then I saw her and you talk in person.”
