Ellen De Generes quits talk show

The "Ellen" show will come to an end in 2022 after a 19 year run.

Ellen De Generes has interviewed 2,400 celebrities and says "as great as the show is, it's just not a challenge anymore".  She says she wanted to quit for a long time and during her last contract negotiations, they have to convince her to stay.

The controversy surrounding the show in the last year isn't a factor.  A number of former employees accused the show of being a "toxic work environment" and not at all the happy team we see on screen.  

As a result of the bullying allegations, ratings dropped over 40% and she now only gets about 1.5 million viewers which is very low given her available audience.
