The trailer for Michael Jackson's biopic has become the most-watched music biopic preview ever, it was confirmed.
The film itself, is titled Michael, and is set to hit the screens on 24 April next year. It will see the late King of Pop portrayed by his real-life nephew, Jaafar Jackson, with Colman Domingo playing his father, Joe Jackson.
The biopic will also see Miles Teller play attorney John Branca, Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, Kat Graham as Diana Ross, while a young Michael Jackson will be played by Juliano Krue Valdi.
Now, it has emerged that Michael has already broken a record by becoming the most-watched music biopic of all time, following an initial 24 hour period, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Over the weekend WaveMetrix revealed that the trailer for the biopic had drawn in over 116.2 million viewers worldwide, making it the most watched music biopic ever, as well as distributor Liongate's most viewed preview of all time.
