Clooney recalled his encounters with legendary artists such as Sinatra and Tony Bennet during a time in his life where he was trying to catch a break in the industry.
During an interview with People magazine, Clooney recalled a memory from this time in his life when he was driving his aunt, who was a singer, around. “And I hadn’t known her much when I was young because I lived in Kentucky. She was the Hollywood aunt. So I came out to make a living and I was her driver," Clooney said.
It was then because of this gig, he was in close proximity to stars in the industry.
Clooney explained his encounter with Sinatra, he said “I remember he was mad at me once because I led this boycott about […] some press freedoms, and he called me because people thought he was sick and there were helicopters flying over his [home],” Clooney recalled. “And he called me going, ‘It’s not working what you’re doing!’”
Seeming some what satisfied with this interaction, Clooney added “He was great. I got yelled at by Frank Sinatra!”
Clooney's latest film 'Jay Kelly' also stars Adam Sandler and is due to be released in cinemas on November 14th.
