Geri Horner has edited the iconic Spice Girls call to action slogan to make it more gender inclusive.

The singer turned children's author, was one of the five original Spice Girl bandmembers, who were renowned for embracing and promoting 'Girl Power'.

Once again, Horner, who was speaking at the launch of her latest children's book, has signalled this 'Girl Power' call with a new 2025 update.

"Girl Power was a sweet word for feminism", Horner said.

"But if you look in the dictionary and see what feminism means, it means the 'equalisation between the sexes", she continued. "Therefore, to me it's irrelevant what your gender is, I want everyone to feel their power, so let's evolve that word from Girl Power to Inner Power".

Geri Horner was part of the group alongside Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Mel B, and Victoria Beckham, which shot to fame in 1996, following the release of their debut single, Wannabe.

In more recent times, Horner has turned her attention to writing, having released her young adult novel series, Rosie Frost in 2023, which explores a young orphan who becomes a hero. Last month, she released her latest book, Rosie Frost: Ice On Fire.

April also saw the singer speak about the possibility of new music from the Spice Girls, as well as question the "relevance" of Madonna's new material. More on this here.
