Ireland's And UK's Most Popular Films Of 2025 Revealed

The movies which were the highest grossing at the box office in Ireland and the UK in 2025 have been revealed.

The British Film Institute have revealed that, A Minecraft Movie, the video game adaption was named as the highest grossing film at the box office in Ireland and the UK in 2025, according to new figures.

These figures were collated by the BFI's official end of year report, which stated that the UK's film and high-end TV production spend was £6.8 billion in 2025, which is a 22% increase on 2024, and is the third highest annual spend on record.

A Minecraft Movie which starred, Jason Momoa, Jack Black and Jennifer Coolidge amassed £56.9million (€65.4 million) in Ireland and the UK, beating off the Ariana Grande starring Wicked: For Good, which bagged £47 million (€54 million).

In third place was Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which accrued £46.4 million (€54 million), with Avatar: Fire and Ash in fourth place with £38.4 million (€44.1 million).

Completing the top five was Lilo and Stitch, which grossed £37.6 million (€43.2 million).

As for the top 10, the list read as follows: Jurassic World Rebirth (£36.1 million/€41.5 million), Zootropolis 2 (£30.5 million/€35 million), Superman (£28.1 million/€32.3 million), Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (£26.4 million/€30.3 million), and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (£24 million/€27.5 million).
