Katherine Ryan has sparked debate after admitting she has a favourite child.
The comedian and presenter made the comments while appearing on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast.
Katherine is mum to four children - Violet, 17, from a previous relationship, and Fred, Fenna and Holland Juliette, whom she shares with her husband Bobby Koostra. The couple married in 2019.

During the interview, Katherine revealed that her eldest daughter, Violet, is her favourite, explaining that she feels her life has been very different from that of her younger siblings.
She said Violet did not have the same opportunities growing up, as Katherine's younger children have benefited from her success, including attending private school.

Katherine also said the absence of Violet's father during her childhood was another reason she feels especially protective of her eldest daughter.
She said: 'Violet's my favourite, she's my first born. I think people don't like that, they think it's a provocative thing to say...
'I don't worry about it hurting the other kids' feelings because I go, guess what, those are nepobabies, Violet is my favourite. You get to go to private school, you get to grow up with a dad, that's not fair, she's my favourite...
'I mean that makes sense in a way doesn't it, they have privileges she doesn't'.

Katherine has previously spoken openly about raising Violet as a single mother and has discussed the absence of her father in both her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, and her stand-up shows.
Her latest comments have prompted discussion online, with some agreeing with her reasoning while others questioned whether parents should publicly name a favourite child.
