Kim Kardashian To Feature In New BBC Documentary About Paris Robbery

Kim Kardashian is to feature in a new BBC documentary which will look at her traumatic ordeal which saw her held at gunpoint in a Paris hotel room in 2016.

Eight people were found guilty over the robbery, which saw the gang still millions of pounds of jewellery which took place during the 2016 Paris Fashion Week. Among the items stolen, was a $4 million engagement ring given to her by her by former spouse Kanye West, according to reports.

The gang of assailants were dubbed, 'the grandpa gang', owing to the members being aged between 60 and 70 years old.

The Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist

Now, a new documentary titled The Kim Kardashian Diamond Heist, is to be aired, sharing new information about the events leading up to the trial, which saw Kardashian come face to face with the gang who robbed her in court.

It will include new interviews from family, friends, police officers and reporters who followed this case, which is produced by Firecracker Films. It will also show the impact the robbery had on Kardashian.

Speaking on this documentary, BBC Three's head of content, Nusim Haque said, "This documentary offers an insight into one of the most publicised celebrity crimes of our time, committed on one of the most famous women on the planet, which will delve into the facts behind the gossip and explore the price of fame in the digital age".  

Creative director for Firecracker, Sam Emmery added: "This is one of the most high-profile robberies of the digital age, with social media said to have played a part in the heist". 

"The film is an opportunity to show how the perpetrators were eventually brought to justice and the lasting impact the ordeal had on its victim, Kim Kardashian". 

Giving her testimony in court last month, Kim Kardashian said that she feared for her life during the robbery, but did say that she forgave the robbers, who appeared to show remorse for their actions during the trial. More on this here.
