On Thursday, Lorna Luxe made the heartbreaking announcement that her husband, John Andrews, had passed away after a long cancer battle.

Two days later, the influencer had to face her first Valentine's Day without him in decades, and his posthumous gesture of love is just what she needed to plant a smile on her face.

Lorna told her followers: 'I've been opening mail, and this big envelope addressed to John arrived a couple of weeks ago, so I opened it.'

She wrote: 'The last conversation we had, I asked him how he was feeling, and he replied “rough but in love,” and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.'

Lorna was married to John, who was 21 years her senior, for 16 years, and took her vows of 'in sickness and in health' very seriously as the couple navigated John's illness.

A host of well-known faces flocked to the comments section to share their condolences, with fitness influencer Maeve Madden gushing over how Lorna and John's relationship was 'a love story unmatched'.

'You filled us all with so much joy, and your deep love for Lorna showed us the true meaning of happiness... A love story unmatched. I can’t even fathom the pain of this loss, Lorna. You are in all of our thoughts and prayers,' Maeve wrote.

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby penned: 'Instantly cried reading this. I’m thinking of you and sending all of my love.'

Love Island's Olivia Bowen commented: 'My heart is so broken for you. You guys have the most beautiful love story & it always felt so light & warming to watch you together.'

Elsewhere, Mrs Hinch (Sophie Hinchliffe) sweetly wrote: 'No one can ever take away your memories, your love, or those quiet one-on-one conversations you’ll carry with you forever. Those are yours. Yours and John’s.'

Lorna's husband, John, was diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer in April 2023. Though he briefly went into remission later that year, the cancer returned and spread to his brain in May 2024.

In a love letter to her late husband, Lorna signed off her statement: 'John, you are a class act, and I will love you forever.'
