The BBC has announced a major television event as global pop superstar Madonna sits down with beloved broadcaster Graham Norton for an exclusive one-off interview celebrating her extraordinary career and highly anticipated new album.
Madonna & Graham will air on BBC One on Friday, 26 June, at 10:40pm, before being broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday, 4 July, from 6pm to 8pm.
Recorded at the iconic KOKO in Camden, London, the special holds particular significance for Madonna. The venue hosted her very first UK performance in 1983 and later served as the launch location for her acclaimed 2005 album, Confessions on a Dance Floor. Returning to the historic stage more than four decades later provides the perfect setting for an intimate and revealing conversation.
According to the BBC, the programme will see Norton and Madonna reflect on the singer's remarkable journey from her early years in New York to becoming one of the most influential and successful artists in music history. The discussion will also explore her long-standing connection with the UK, her recent appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and the inspiration behind her latest creative chapter.
The special comes just days before the release of Madonna's eagerly awaited new album, Confessions II, which arrives on 3 July. Fans can expect exclusive insights into the project as Madonna opens up about the stories, influences and artistic vision that shaped the record.
Adding further depth to the programme, Madonna is joined by long-time collaborator Stuart Price. Together, they offer a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Confessions II, discussing the creative process and musical direction behind one of the year's most anticipated releases.
Speaking about the experience, Norton described the interview as a personal highlight.
"As a lifelong fan, it is always a thrill to interview Madonna, but to meet her on the dance floor where she first performed in London over 30 years ago felt incredibly special," he said.
He added: "She remains a legendary pop icon who is still doing what she does best – getting people up to dance."
With nostalgia, exclusive revelations and a glimpse into Madonna's future, Madonna & Graham is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about music television events of the summer.
