Meghan Markle has shared a series of unseen wedding photos to mark her eighth wedding anniversary with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex posted a collection of behind-the-scenes images from the couple’s 2018 royal wedding at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, including intimate moments from the ceremony and reception. One of the snaps also appeared to show music legend Elton John performing for guests during the evening celebrations at Frogmore House.

Captioning the posts, Meghan wrote: “Eight years ago today…” while also sharing the photos to her Instagram story alongside Paula Abdul’s hit song Forever Your Girl.
The couple tied the knot on May 19, 2018, in a globally watched ceremony attended by around 600 guests, including celebrity friends such as Victoria and David Beckham, Serena Williams, Oprah Winfrey, and George and Amal Clooney. The wedding was reportedly watched by an estimated 1.9 billion people worldwide.
For the ceremony, Meghan wore her now-iconic off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown designed by then-creative director Clare Waight Keller. The minimalist dress drew comparisons to Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s famous 1990s bridal look, which Meghan had previously described as her favourite celebrity wedding dress.

Waight Keller later revealed the pair worked together in complete secrecy for months before the wedding. “It was a very discreet communication between us—literally just us. There was no one else involved,” the designer previously said.
For the evening reception at Frogmore House, Meghan changed into a sleek high-neck silk crepe gown designed by Stella McCartney.
As part of the anniversary celebrations this year, Meghan also shared a sweet video featuring the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, singing “Happy Anniversary” to their parents. She also revealed that Harry surprised her with a penguin statue as a gift.
