The Grammy award winning singer and actress, received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The former Disney channel star said that her star represents "an accumulation of devotion".

Cyrus gave an emotional speech at the ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.
"What feels so special to me about this star is that it's an accumulation of devotion. The star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for and then tote it around like a trophy. My name is laid in gold and pink terrazzo!" Cyrus said.
In her speech she said that she wanted her art to have a lasting impact and shares her hopes for the future.
"After today, I commit to continuing the cycle of creation because that is what I truly live for. My hope is that what I leave behind continues to affect the hearts of generations to come, ones that I won’t be here to experience. I hope it awakens something raw and imperfect and sexy and glamorous and joyful in times that need it. Today is something I’ll never forget, and I’ll always cherish," Cyrus said.

Cyrus was dressed by Donatella Versace for the event, she was also joined by her fiancé, musician Maxx Morando, her mother, Tish Cyrus, her sister, Brandi Cyrus and actress Anya Taylor-Joy at the special event.

Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said of Cyrus at the event, she said: "Miley deserves her flowers as she has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry, and we are thrilled to honor her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
