Paul Mescal Enters Race To Become Next James Bond

Paul Mescal has entered the list to become the next James Bond.

Mescal has become the latest actor to enter the race, and is ranked as the "most likely Irishman", according to betting experts Oddspedia who tip the Maynooth native at 33/1, with fellow Oscar nominee Colin Farrell standing at a staggering 1000/1.

Other names mentioned include Michael Fassbender and Jamie Dornan who both stand at 40/1, while other stars like Aidan Turner ranks at 20/1, with Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy at 50/1.

In terms of the favourites to succeed Daniel Craig as the suave 007 agent, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Henry Cavill remain the front runners for the role, with both tipped at 5/2, with the likes of Tom Hardy 9/1, Rege-Jean Page 8/1 and James Norton at 3/1 not far behind.

2023 has certainly seen Paul Mescal's stock rise having burst onto the scene in RTE TV series Normal People in 2020.

Last month, Mescal attended this year's Oscar's Ceremony as a Best Actor nominee for his role in Aftersun.

Last week, Mescal went one better at the Olivier Awards, where he scopped up the award for Best Actor for his role as Stanley in the West End production of A Streetcar Named Desire
