Peter Andre has revealed he had a secret nose job in the 1990s after struggling with insecurities about his appearance at the height of his early fame.

The singer shared the story in a candid video posted to Instagram, explaining that the procedure took place just 10 days before filming his 1997 music video for All About Us — one of his most recognisable tracks from that era.

At the time, Andre was riding a wave of success following the release of his breakthrough single Mysterious Girl, which became a chart-topping hit and helped cement his status as one of the biggest pop stars of the late 90s across the UK and Ireland.

Opening up about the experience, he said the surgery had an immediate impact on his confidence in front of the camera. “Would you believe 10 days prior to filming the All About Us video I had my first and only ever nose job?” he said in the clip, titled “this is something nobody knows”.

He went on to describe how he was still recovering while filming, revealing: “So literally before I went on I had tape on my nose I had to take off, do the scene, go back and put tape on my nose cause it was only like 10 days after.”

Despite the tight turnaround, Andre said the change made a huge difference to how he carried himself on set. “But I remember feeling so confident when I was wearing the suits and that was because I didn't have this big nose anymore and I felt comfortable kind of doing all angles,” he explained, before adding simply: “There you go.”

The music video itself was filmed in Los Angeles, including locations like Melrose Place and the iconic Pink’s Hot Dogs diner — a well-known fixture in Hollywood pop culture that has featured in countless films and TV shows over the years.

The slick, stylised visuals of All About Us reflected the polished image Andre was building at the time, as record labels increasingly prioritised music videos as a key part of an artist’s global appeal.

Andre’s revelation also shines a light on the intense pressure faced by pop stars during the 90s, when image and physical appearance were often scrutinised just as much as musical talent.

Cosmetic procedures were far less openly discussed at the time, particularly among male artists, making his decision to keep the surgery private unsurprising in hindsight. The industry has since shifted significantly, with more celebrities speaking candidly about cosmetic enhancements and the impact of fame on self-esteem.

Now 52, Andre has built a long-lasting career spanning music, reality television and presenting, remaining a familiar figure in Irish media.

From his early chart dominance to later appearances on shows like I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! — which introduced him to a whole new audience — he has consistently reinvented himself while maintaining a loyal fanbase.

Currently, Peter Andre is firmly back in music mode, having released new material in 2026 and returned to the stage with a UK and Ireland tour.

The singer has been performing to packed crowds, leaning heavily into the nostalgia of his 90s hits like Mysterious Girl and Flava, while also introducing fans to his latest tracks, including his new single "Rock U Right" and an upcoming album titled Legacy, set for release on April 10, 2026, to celebrate 30 years since his hit "Mysterious Girl". The new album features reimagined hits and three new tracks.

'The Best Of Frankie Valli starring Peter Andre' tour marks a significant moment in his career, signalling a renewed focus on music after years balancing television and media work, and showing there’s still strong demand for his live performances decades after his initial breakthrough.

His latest admission has been met with a mix of surprise and support online, with many praising his honesty and reflecting on how different the conversation around body image has become since his early career. While the nose job may have been a closely guarded secret for decades, Andre’s willingness to share it now offers a more personal insight into the realities of fame — and the lengths some artists felt they had to go to in order to feel confident in the spotlight.
