Emmy award winning actress, Catherine O'Hara, best known for her roles in Home Alone, and Schitt's Creek, has died aged 71.
O'Hara starred as Kevin McCallister's mother, Kate in Home Alone in 1990, as well as Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek, a series which ran for six seasons from 2025 to 2020, alongside Annie Murphy, Emily Hampshire, Daniel Levy and Noah Reid.
The actress also starred in HBO's, The Last Of Us, which earned her an Emmy Award nomination, as did her work as producer in The Studio.
O'Hara's death was confirmed by a statement from her agency, CAA, who said that she died "following a brief illness".
Catherine O'Hara is survived by her husband, Bo Welch and sons Matthew and Luke.
