It has been confirmed that production for season four of Ted Lasso has officially started.
The hit comedy sees American actor Jason Sudeikis star as American football coach, Ted Lasso, as he tries to coach a British football 'soccer' team, AFC Richmond. The last season of the show saw Brett Goldstein's character Roy Kent step up to assistant coach, alongside coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). Sudiekis' character Ted also had to deal with personal issues back home.
As for the forthcoming season, Ted is to return to Richmond to coach a second division women's football team. It was also confirmed that Hannah Waddingham is to reprise her role as the owner of AFC Richmond , while Juno Temple will also return for the new season, playing Keeley Jones.
Brett Goldstein will also return, along with Hunt and Jeremy Swift, while the new season will also feature debutants Jude Mack, Tanya Reynolds and Faye Marsey. Rising Irish star Aisling Sharkey will also appear, alongside Rex Hayes, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely, with the latter playing Ted Lasso's son, Henry.
Jason Sudeikis serves as executive producer for the Emmy nominated show, with Brett Goldstein serving as writer.
