Reports suggest that pop superstar Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are set to celebrate their wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening.

According to the Associated Press, a law enforcement official familiar with security arrangements said the couple are expected to host an intimate rehearsal dinner on Thursday before exchanging vows at the iconic New York venue.

Since announcing their engagement in August 2025, speculation has surrounded the couple's wedding plans, with fans eagerly guessing both the date and location. Rumours have intensified in recent weeks that the ceremony would coincide with the Fourth of July holiday, a date that has long held special significance for Swift.

The singer has often celebrated Independence Day with lavish gatherings, making the holiday a fitting backdrop for the reported wedding festivities. However, neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any details regarding the ceremony.

Adding to the speculation, crews have reportedly been seen unloading equipment outside Madison Square Garden. Witnesses also observed a large carpet being rolled out near one of the arena's entrances before it was quickly removed from public view.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch acknowledged that the department was preparing for an event at the venue. While declining to provide specific security details, she confirmed that the NYPD would have officers assigned to the event.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani also confirmed that a permit had been submitted for a major gathering at the arena. He said city officials were fully prepared but did not offer any additional information.

The reported wedding plans come just weeks after Swift made history by becoming the youngest woman inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. During an emotional acceptance speech in New York, the singer paid tribute to her parents and brother, thanking them for moving from Pennsylvania to Nashville to support her dream of pursuing a career in music.

Swift and Kelce captured headlines when they announced their engagement in August with a light-hearted joint Instagram post that read, "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."

The singer also referenced the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on her album The Life of a Showgirl, including the track Opalite, which is said to feature a nod to Kelce through a reference to his birthstone, opal.

Despite widespread reports and growing excitement among fans, the couple have yet to officially confirm the date, venue, or any details surrounding their wedding.
