What is more nerve-wracking than going on a first date?... Going on a first date on national television, of course!

Luckily for Cloda Scanlon, she's no stranger to sharing her life online, and on Wednesday, she confirmed to her 48.2k followers that she's taking part in First Dates Ireland.

'The secret’s finally out.. taking oversharing my dating life on the internet to oversharing on national TV,' she penned.

Cloda continued: 'Everyone who has been guessing in my DMs, yes, I’ll see you at the First Dates restaurant on Thursday, 2nd April on RTE 2.'

Friends and followers alike rushed to the comments to congratulate her. Niamh de Brún shared a series of emojis, while Nathalie Lennon wrote: 'Ahhhhhhh this is so exciting.'

'Ahhhhh BEYOND EXCITED!! I am so ready for this!!' another excited fan penned, while a fourth person added: 'I saw you in one of the promotional reels, and I was like yeah, she is my next door friendly influencer.'

Cloda is known for her relatable content, and so we can likely expect a hilariously honest dating experience.

Her social media bio reads: 'Oversharing so you don’t have to. Professional delusion enabler,' if that's anything to go by!

She appears to have a soft spot for rugby men, as she recently shared a gas clip in the Aviva Stadium while watching the Irish men's squad play.

She joked, 'POV you are trying to talk to me but there are men in short shorts in front of me.'

Before adding: 'I’m just a girl, can you blame me..What a win for @irishrugby today winning The Triple Crown.' Hopefully, RTÉ finds Cloda a rugby man!
