Moseley played a pet zombie on the hit series The Walking Dead. He also appeared in American Soul and Queen of the Soul.
Following this news, tributes have been paid to Moseley, who was described as the "kindest, sweetest, most generous person you would ever meet", and a "phenominal actor".
The Walking Dead tweeted, "Our thoughts and prayers are with our #TWDFamily member Moses J. Moseley".
Atlanta based talent agency Avery Sisters also paid tribute to the late actor via their Facebook account.
"With a heavy heart, we at Avery Sisters Entertainment offer our sincerest and deepest condolences to the family and friends of our actor, Moses J. Moseley".
"We are truly saddened", they added. "Moses was a phenomenal actor... but MUCH more than that, he was an AMAZING person!
"For those who knew him, he was the kindest, sweetest, most generous person you would ever meet. We will miss you dearly! Rest in Heaven!".
Jeremy Palko who worked with Moseley on The Walking Dead, also posted this emotional tweet.
It had been reported that Moseley's family had reported him missing earlier this week. An invesitigation into his death is ongoing.
