Tiger Woods has been charged with DUI following a car crash in Florida.

The Golf pro was charged with driving under the influence after being involved in the crash, according to police.

The crash happened in Southern California in February 2021, which saw Woods suffer multiple leg fractures, after he rolled his vehicle while attempting to overtake another that was towing a trailer. Initially, Woods had walked away from the accident with no visible injuries. It impacted his career, as he has appeared in minimal PGA Tour events since.

Following the incident, Woods was questioned by police, and later refused to submit to providing a urine test.

Since then, Sheriff John Budensiek from the Martin County Sheriff's Office had informed reporters that Woods has also been charged with property damage, and refusing to provide a lawful test, to go with his DUI charge.

Prior to this, Tiger Woods had previously been arrested for driving under the influence in Jupiter Island in May 2017. He eventually pleaded guilty to reckless driving and was given one year of probation. He was also fined $250 and sentence to 50 hours of community service.

Woods has suffered a run of injuries over the year, having also been struggling with an Achilles injury last year, which ruled him of returning to the golf course in the future, after suffering a strong pain in his left heel.

Last year, Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, ex daughter in law of US President Donald Trump made their relationship official.

This happened after Woods shared the news on social media, writing "love is in the air", while adding that "we look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts".

Vanessa had previously been married to Donald Trump Jr. The couple divorced in 2018. More on this story here.
